Awesome Adoptive Family!

I have been blessed to know my friend Beth for several years now and photograph her growing family a few times over those years.  The first time was while she was pregnant with her second daughter.  They have since adopted their third daughter from Congo.  What a blessing to watch God guide their adoption journey from beginning to end.  God is good!  

Here are a few shots from their family photo shoot last weekend.  It was hot but the girls were troopers and we had a good, albeit sweaty session!  ;-)

My friend Lehi was going to bring all three of her kiddos but her youngest was not up for a fun photo shoot that day so we just got to play with her oldest two.  They are such cuties!

A couple of posts ago I shared Laurie's kids... well, these are Laurie's cute grand-daughters!  They are wearing one of a kind hair accessories from Wani's World.

These are Laurie's kiddos... aren't they adorable?  We had such a good time during their photo shoot!

Laurie is my daughter's First Steps occupational therapist, and she is a wealth of information because she has a ton of experience in the special needs world, both professionally and personally.  Laurie shared the pictures with her kids' teachers and one of them cried because that picture was the first time she had seen Laurie's son smile.  What a blessing to be able to capture that for her!

Family Mini-sessions - Adoption Fundraiser

My friend Tisha's family of 7 is adopting again! They are in the process of adopting 1, 2 or 3 boys from Uganda, Africa. Its not always easy for us to contribute financially so I offered my services to do a photography fundraiser to help their family with their adoption expenses.

The weather was decent, a little bright and windy but we worked with it.  Over the couple hours we were there we ended up with nearly a dozen mini-sessions and raised over $500 toward the Alexander's upcoming adoption!  Thanks to everyone who came out and supported Tisha's family!
