Adoption Awareness

I am blessed to have been able to watch the journeys that several friends have taken on their road to adoption.  And I've heard stories of many more.  Each story is precious and unique, just like the children that are welcomed into these families and homes.

In case you didn't know... November Adoption month! The week of November 4th-10th is National Adoption Week, and on top of that National Adoption Day is November 23rd. Whew!  That is a lot of events about adoption!  Which is really so great because adoption awareness is so important.

Father to the fatherless, defender of widows — this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families.

Psalms 68:5-6

I have been overwhelmed by the love shown as my friends have grown their families through adoption.  Some have been domestic adoptions, some are through the foster system and others have traveled the globe to bring their new children into their homes and their hearts.

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Galatians 4:4-6

In honor of Adoption Month I am offering all adoptive families half off any package for children or family pictures from now through the entire month of November.  Still time to get a family session done for those Christmas card photos!

God bless you!

Awesome Adoptive Family!

I have been blessed to know my friend Beth for several years now and photograph her growing family a few times over those years.  The first time was while she was pregnant with her second daughter.  They have since adopted their third daughter from Congo.  What a blessing to watch God guide their adoption journey from beginning to end.  God is good!
Here are a few shots from their family photo shoot last weekend.  It was hot but the girls were troopers and we had a good, albeit sweaty session!  ;-)
